Hi Derrick,
It maybe that the 1100 uses extra pins, or expects a pin pulled up or down.
Are there no jumper settings to change?
You haven't said you tried the 800 in place of the "bad" 1100. If that
works, accept it & move on ;-)

Subject: Weird Hardware.
Hi Guys, Help !
Scenario:- Two machines, Identical mainboards, one with a Celeron 800
and the other with a Celeron 1100. Machine with 1100 cpu simply
quits ! No post, nothing. I replace the cpu from the other machine
(800 cpu) Machine now boots and runs fine !
Ok I pull a Celeron 1100 from another (Third) machine, stick it in ! No
boot !!
I put the original Celeron 1100 in the machine I borrowed the 800
from !! It boots and works fine. I double checked by putting the
second 1100 cpu in and that works fine too !!
I am at a loss as to what the problem could be ! It has got to be the
mainboard, but what ! I must be doing something silly............
But I haven't a clue what. Any Ideas ?
