After that, (if they match) I would check all those jumpers you did not
(and should not) touch yet...

As it happens both machines, the faulty one and the good one, belong to
the same client ! I built five of these machines for them, a little
over a year ago.

I can check that ! As far as I am aware all these machines have the
same mainboard revision and bios !
