A gui is pretty much mandatory IMO for serious disk partitioning work. I've used cli tools on most OSes and when you have a lot of partitions to create and filesystems to setup, I find it much more effective, especially if you change your mind and decide to resize a partition, to use a gui based tool. -- Harondel J.
