Plus, if you use the ntfs.sys dll, with some of the other tools, you get full 
ntfs control.

Whether any of this is implemented on the latest Knoppix cd, I can't say.

Another option is to run Disk Part from a BartPE cd. How odd, just tried this 
and it's not working on any of my BartPE disks, not sure why as I know I've 
used it in that context before.

Also my fave partitioning tool is Acronis Partition Manager which is part of 
the Disk Director Suite, which can also be run off a BartPE cd.
