Hmm, I'd say you are not a *nix guy or all that familiar with linux History, the Unix world has had a gui longer than the Windows world has. What's changed in the past 8 years or so, is that the gui's have been made more windows like. > All of the flavors of Linux, OpenLinux, Suse, Mandrake, Redhat > ect have gui's and are just as easy to use as Windows. Yes and no, somethings are easier, somethings are more complicated. > Just like driving a car you need a steering wheel, breaks, accelorator, > speedometer and gearshift > to interact with the car just as you need windows, scrollbars, menus' menu > buttons to > intereact with Linux and other programs. The difference is, just like cars that you "trick out" to look and act the way you want, you can do the same with linux/unix, there are many gui's to choose from, the 2 easiest to use for most windows users will be Gnome and KDE, still there are literally dozens of other choices for gui's ranging from minimalist to pretty "phat". This is one of the big advantages of Unix over windows, if you don't like the GUI or how it works, just change it! -- Harondel J.
