I don't think so. I think memory is probably key to running Vista
successfully based upon my limited experience. 

I have RC2 loaded on an older AthlonXP 3200 machine with 1gb of ram, a
distinctly lower end graphics card, and an old MSI K7N2 Delta board. While
it rates as less than 3, it runs ok. For someone with general business
needs, internet use, and such, it would run pretty good. What I've found is
that if you run lots of apps, that's where Vista seems to need the ram.

Can you get a copy of WinSAT to assess your system before upgrading 
to Vista?  I've been looking, but so far no luck, so I'm guessing no.
