RedHat 7.1 is in public beta right now. Release is probably going to be
in the next couple of weeks, a month at the outset. It will be based on
kernel 2.4. Personally I'm waiting for Mandrake to release a 2.4-based
kernel because I use supermount and they'll be updating it to work with
their 2.4 kernel. (I've built my own 2.4 kernel with supermount, and it
kernel panics -- maybe mandrake will get the bugs out of it.)

Mandrake or Redhat are both good commerical standard distros in my
opinion. For an RPM-based distro, these two seem to be the best. Debian
is good too, plain debian.
