The development of a win4lin 2.4 kernel was complex as there were
significant changes from 2.2.x to 2.4. Win4Lin 2 was developed based on the
2.2.x kernel. To make Win4Lin 2 compatible with the linux 2.4 kernel source
would take extensive development time. Time that can be used to evolve
bigger and better things. Again this was a decision that was made and I have
faith and support these decisions.
A more comprehensive upgrade guide will be forthcoming. I only addressed one
aspect in my original post and that's all I will do until next week, until I
make sure I have all the right answers available to me.
