Thank you.

Yes, I installed the generic Unix version of Speak Freely 7.2 on Linux
a couple of weeks ago, but it lacks a user-interface and I was never
able to figure out how to put the parts together.

The Windows version of Speak Freely is well-documented and easy to use.

(Afaict, the Debian Speak Freely package that someone else mentioned
here is no more than the generic Unix version of Speak Freely in a
Debian package; the documentation is identical.)

But I do not find "it's already available on Linux" very persuasive.

The more I use Win4Lin, the more I am becoming interested in seeing
well-supported Windows packages made available under Win4Lin.

In the case of Netscape, for example, this has the great advantage of
letting me use the same User files (Bookmarks, Mail, News, etc) on both
the Linux side and the Microsoft side without any hassle.

I should think everyone would be in favor of this kind of
interoperability.

Bill
