One possible avenue to take to prevent Wal-Mart from forcing their destructive business practices onto our community is to vote with our pocketbooks!
I may be preaching to the choir here, but it would be great if everyone who agrees that a Wal-Mart store in Winona would be the worst thing to happen to this community since the flood of '65 would pledge to not set foot in or spend one dime in a Wal-Mart store, here or any other place, and make that pledge widely known perhaps the Walton Bros. would look elsewhere to spread their economic destruction and bypass Winona.
Anyone else out there willing to take such a pledge?
