If it were only that simple...

Are you trying to tell me that all you did in high school was "learn?" I doubt that, so why the oversimplification?

While the stated purpose of a school system may be to educate students, there are also many unintended and unacknowledged "events" that form the educational experience. I find it unlikely, even if the prison time were a penalty for leaving school, that anyone would stay in high school, if the only thing that you where there to do would be to learn.
