[Winona Online Democracy] Janice et al:
I don't mean to be unpleasant, but an observation I have made in the past bears repeating. Unless you vote in the city no one at City Hall really cares about your opinion on city issues one way or the other. After having made spending decisions, however, the city can get at your tax dollars...through the sales tax. Only citizens vote...but all pay. This is why I have never understood why some people are so hesitant to become part of the city...citizenship is how you amplify your voice and make a difference in ongoing discussions about the direction of the community. Bob Sebo Winona PS to Kieth...thanks for the question re economic returns on the wind energy proposal (which I think is potentially very cool)...can you answer my question about Mankato Avenue and 61 please? What can be done at this intersection to expand capacity? BS (my God-given initials...lol) _______________________________________________ This message was posted to Winona Online Democracy All messages must be signed by the senders actual name.
