I see, well, over to the experts then. 

Thats my point actually.

Its all getting very technical already, thats the trouble with Linux there 
doesn't seem to be a way for it to become pervasive because every machine 
target raises unique challenges. It needs a linux expert to predict what 
will or will not happen when you try to install it. (same with windows but 
to a much lesser extent). I went for Ubuntu because it worked first time 
on a 3 year old machine but I admit that is not "old" as such. It did have 
256k. 

I notice the latest version of Winrad uses some pretty fine graphics and 
detail that may challenge older graphics cards. I guess the only person 
that can work this out will be Alberto. Another item for the long wish 
list I guess.
