Hello joe, They are still having MAJOR debates, and there is a LOT of people against any action, so far no troops have been sent, nor has any debate in parliament occurred even though most of the political parties are calling for one... Some of the most outspoken people on this are veterans of previous wars... The only person for action is John Howard to further his own career/standing with the American government...
John Howard is playing big boys games, he's more or less a joke... all we need now is the sex scandal and the whole picture will be complete... Protect... hmmm dictate over is more apt from where I'm sitting... Do as we say not as we do... Fact of the matter is the US Govt. doesn't want another Russia to content with... And since when was the war in Vietnam, Korea, Cuba etc etc etc impeding on ANY freedoms? freedom is an illusion shattered sometime last year, esp when all the spy agencies jumped on the bandwagon to increase their powers... what freedom ? they are all slowly disappearing... (possibly at an alarming rate) yet the biggest weapon, which the Nazi's used very effectively is being used against American populations more and more every day, propaganda... as for oil... a previous government gave an oil field the size of a large state to Malaysia, when our own government is treasonous what the hell hope do we have... goes for the current one as well... -- Best regards, evilbunny mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.cacert.org - Free Security Certificates http://www.sydneywireless.com - Telecommunications Freedom Sunday, October 6, 2002, 3:14:06 PM, you wrote: jh> Evilbunny, jh> Australian troops are right in there with the US in Afghanistan, jh> and John Howard has pledged SAS troops if/when Iraq ever happens. jh> So, looks like you dont speak for the rest of Australia. jh> Your country is as dependent on foreign oil, if not more so, than jh> the US.
