I'ts not my nickel, and not my tower. I was told it was a 3 hour job with a 2 man crew by one of the tower companies I got a quote from. But they also charged me an additional 10 hours of travel time. I understand the cost of a crew, but in each case, the problem is not the time on the tower, it's travel - being 300 miles or more away.
The rates I was quoted was 85/man/hr, which I thought were reasonable. I was hoping there was just someone closer. it sucks that travel is the majority of the cost. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ neofast.net - fast internet for North East Oregon and South East Washington email me at mark at neofast dot net 541-969-8200 Direct commercial inquiries to purchasing at neofast dot net ----- Original Message ----- From: "JohnnyO" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'WISPA General List'" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, September 07, 2006 8:44 PM Subject: RE: [WISPA] Maybe someone has suggestions... - Tower work > Mark - industry rates for a tower crew is $70.00 - $110.00 per hour / > PER MAN - That doesn't include travel which most bill out at $50.00/hour > PER man for travel time. > > This would be a full days work with a 3 man crew - Most will use a 4 man > crew to get this done.
