That's fine. There's a rack of DirecTV equipment, where the satellite dishes hook up to (I'd spent the extra $2k and spring for better dishes) and then it travels Ethernet (physical topology does not matter) to the receiver. There is a short list of approved switches that must be used however, something to do with the way they do IGMP. DirecTV does bill you and you can do whatever you want from there.
