That is also what is actually tried to accomplish with WMLive as the primary objective. I would like to provide a desktop which not only my 12 year old niece would go crazy about for the first 5 minutes, but something which is usable by old farts beyond their forties like me, who do care 99% for usability and just a mere 1% for (at the end of the day) pointless eye candy.
While i do like to see, at least to some degree, the overall simplicity of Window Maker kept, it is very important to at least make it usable in today's contemporary computer environments, albeit without turning it into a smartphone interface. ;) There is absolutely no point in making it just a nostalgic copy of an older user interface which definitely never was as perfect as people tend to claim. I still have original installation media for NeXTSTEP 3.2 and 3.3, and also for some time had it running on an old PA-RISC machine and an older PC.
