Hi Carlos, the reasons because I moved it is: 1. In Debian, the /usr/local folder is not used. The correct path is /usr 2. The configuration files should be in /etc 3. I didn't move all the /usr/(local)/share/WindowMaker files, only these files: appearance.menu WindowMaker WMRootMenu WMWindowAttributes menu.hook WMGLOBAL WMState Used in the sytem configuration. 4. The appearance.menu and menu.hook are created by the menu-method script, and don't seems to be correct generate files in /usr/(local)/share/..., the correct path should for generated configuration files should be /etc. 5. I moved these files from /etc/X11/WindowMaker, not from /usr/(local)/share, because in debian there are already in /etc/X11/WindowMaker 6. I moved these files from /etc/GNUstep too 7. Is a "distro problem", but IMO, we should the same paths, and the Paul's comment is very good (use /etc/WindowMaker and ~/.WindowMaker or something like) kix -- ||// //\\// Rodolfo "kix" Garcia ||\\// //\\ http://www.kix.es/ -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [email protected].
