Hmmm..that's 4-wire...so ground, tx, rx, and 5V and wouldn't work with hardware 
flow control.

replicate the original IF-232C, some may not. The manual is almost certainly

 according to the TS-450S/TS-690S CAT programming manual it is full 
 duplex 4800 baud 8N2 with RTS/CTS flow control using TTL signal levels. 
 I would be very surprised if that information was incorrect!
