Xastir supports many, and it is likely you're just using an online map
server that has shut down. Until you say which maps are actually not
working
for you, nobody will be able to address your issue.
None of the maps that appear in the Map Chooser window after
installation do work.
Third time: I am still a hardware guy. Where the fork should I look in
the configuration or log files to find out the information you so
desperately want me to tell you?
And let me tell you, the user manual is, eh, a bit lacking. An the way
Xastir handles the maps is just slow and awkward. Unfortunately I'm
stuck with using it, so are you stuck with me and my poor fault reports
:)
