In a quick test of the "Online" maps, OSM_tiled_mapnik.geo was the only one I found that actually worked, the rest showed either file not found errors, "bad Magick header" (meaning they were HTML error pages, not images), or timed out. Has anyone on the list been using a map other than OSM_tiled_mapnik.geo and had it work? Looks like almost all of the servers we have relied on are now gone. OSM_tiled_mapnik still works, at least. If this is the only one that works, then the others need to be removed from our top-level Makefile.am (where the .geos are generated from a template). I think all the weather radar maps are also broken, as their associated servers vanished ages ago. Their associated geos should probably not be installed anymore. If anyone has information about new OSM servers that can replace those we've lost, it is not terribly difficult to add new ones --- a matter of getting an appropriate URL and options strings to pass to the server. -- Tom Russo KM5VY SAR502 DM64ux http://www.swcp.com/~russo/ Tijeras, NM QRPL#1592 K2#398 SOC#236 http://kevan.org/brain.cgi?DDTNM echo "prpv_a'rfg_cnf_har_cvcr" | sed -e 's/_/ /g' | tr [a-m][n-z] [n-z][a-m] _______________________________________________ Xastir mailing list [email protected] http://xastir.org/mailman/listinfo/xastir
