Blue Hills Trail update...

WOW -- Very good to excellent skating today (Thursday, April 4) with ½-inch of powder on a crusted corn snow base!  Conditions are as good as any mid-winter skiing -- fast snow with good edge control and firm pole plants -- you can certainly use your best skis.  Most areas still have adequate base (6 to 8 inches) with exception of bare spots on steeper, south facing hills.  If you are scheduled to work Friday, find an excuse -- you'll be sick if you miss this opportunity!   (The EastSide & WestSide trails were groomed Tuesday, April 2 by rolling Tuesday's two-inch snowfall.)
