Blue Hills Trail update...

Freeze-thaw cycles have created an icy hardpack.  With temperatures rising into the thirties today (Feb. 13), conditions on the EastSideTrail were fair with enough surface texture to provide some edge control.  Despite the frequent warm spells, most trail sections have adequate base.  Because of low snow conditions, sun-exposed downhills and hemlock groves have developed open areas that may require ski removal.
