Hi Hussein,

I want to know if DocBook support a map file like DITA map file that support
xref to some section (topic) files, and then I can output PDF directly from the
map file.

I have tried to create a DocBook Book file, but it does not support linking to
a section file.

Could you help share some information on this?

Thanks,
Iris

In theory, the answer is yes. In practice, we don't know.

* If it is a PDF font problem, you can easily solve it by referring to
this FAQ:

---
When I convert documents written in Russian (or Polish or Czech or any
non-western language) to PDF, almost all characters are replaced by the
"#" character. Is there a workaround for this problem?

* This may be an Acrobat Reader problem. That is, you may need to
install an Asian font pack in addition to Acrobat Reader itself.
