Dear Cde Palma It is with our humble revolutionary thinking that your debate on this matter is completely liberal and Anti Communist - this is based on the fact that you seem to think that the SACP has lost its independence thus raising a concern around the General Secretary and the deputy General Secretary - to argu that they should share their salaries with the SACP is based on your inability to think beyond lack of clear understanding of the Party, its role and that of individual leaders. I do not even think that you enquired about the Mandela university debt - and for that matter you think as the Party we owe the university - please try to investigate issues before making nasty and drunkard decisions. Whether you like it or not, the General Secretary has after many years brought back the Party after Moleketi and others failed to destroy the party in favour of the 1996 class project - after Cde Charles the SACP got back its political and ideological leadership in the alliance asnd that is because Cde Blade Nzimande provided a leadership that was being liquidated by those who were communist in the media and capitalists in their intentions. It is partly in this context that we think the National Secretary of the YCL, Cde Buti Manamela is correct to say come January 2010, Cde Blade will remain the General Secretary of the Party and we shall never be intimidated by those who do not want the party to be as it is, independent and committed to the struggle for Socialism. We are going to the Special congress with the aim of making sure that the Party is not liquidated or hijacked by capitlaists who have failed to destroy the ANC and now want to create an SACP that will assist them in killing the liberation movement.
