One other thing. I would like to draw a distinction here between Zen and Buddhist philosophy. I have a background in philosophical studies, and I am particularly interested in Idealistic Buddhist philosophy (Cittamatra, Yogacara, Vijnanavada). But I would like to emphasize that Zen, in my opinion, is not a philosophy. So when I go on with my long-winded lectures, please keep in mind that I am just philosophising, which is just a bad habit of mine! Steve
