JM,

Sure. My comment about your school seeming to be Taoist was just that - a
comment - and not a criticism. I have to agree with ED tho, that I find the
terminology you use to be difficult for me, too. I guess the substance is the
samebut the form is somewhat different (a British understatement). I still like
the bit you said having supernatural powers tho : )

Mike

Hi Mike,  Even Osho said, Chan combines the essence of Tao and Buddhism.

Yes our practice is Taoist.  Our words are Buddhist.  After all, Buddha had 49
years to describe the various stages of his journey in detail.  When comes to
spirituality, Buddhist has the most detailed terms.  Jesus had only three.  If
God give Jesus 49 years, I am sure He would said the same thing.

Since I am educated as a high tech guy, Chan practice transformed me 180
degrees, because I have witnessed.  It is an amazing journey.

Yes, to focus on the present moment is the key.  But it is not a life-less
focus, it is a continual purification of our chi, while let the mind focus just
on the emptiness.  It is a parallel process.
