Anthony,

'Mr. Frontcorner' (both Roshis Koryu and Maezumi) didn't teach me about any 
'signposts' - with the possible exception of a distinction between kensho and 
satori.  Kensho being a 'first glimpse' of Buddha Nature, and is temporary and 
of short duration.  Satori being a musch more full awareness of Buddha Nature, 
and is enduring.

Before kensho I was not taught about any 'signposts'.  You've either had kensho 
or you haven't.
