Hi Scott,
I am Chinese and perhaps serious. I love the American attitude,
non-chalant, easy going, fun loving.
While the Chinese teaches with a top down approach, (ie, Confucius
said, Lao Tze said, Teacher said, family rules are) American teaches
with bottom up approach, through self exploration.
While Chinese try to get rid of group identity, many Americans love
to identify with some group.
This is Chan, the middle way. All inclusive. All one, yet none.
