Hi Diana,

You raise an interesting point. What you seem to be
saying (if I'm understanding you correctly), is that
it is pretty much impossible to fake anything.

Various Buddhist teachings (most prominently
Hui-neng's, as exposed in Platform sutra), warn
against faking it. Many masters and patriarchs insist
that our practice must be genuine, must be coming from
the true source of our original nature.

In other words, they warn us against wasting our
efforts on polishing a brick in order to turn it into
a mirror.

What you seem to be advocating below is that it would
be right down impossible to fake anything. Any act we
may commit is always and invariably perceived as being
genuine, undefiled, pure and perfect.

That's a very interesting approach to practice. I must
admit that I'm intrigued. It certainly demands
incredible amounts of courage to go through life like
that. But, if you can truly do it (without faking it,
that is:-), more power to you!
