Bill Mantlo 1995 Miller Place Merrick, NY 11566 Do you remember Bill Mantlo?? I knew his work from Marvel Comics, and I always enjoyed it. I am not sure when it happened but Bill suffered a brain injury many years ago as a result of an accident. He is currently in a Nursing Home. I read about his situation in a newsgroup a few years ago and I have sent him a Christmas Card every year.
I received a very touching letter from his father yesterday. It says that Bill is still in the Nursing Home and that his two brothers Michael and Arthur and Bill, Sr. (the father) visit him on most weekends. He appreciated the mail and asked that anyone who remembers Bill Mantlo at all could please send mail to him. In his condition, Bill responds to having mail read to him. I realize that this is Off-Topic, but I hope that you understand. Hopefully if you can spare two minutes and a stamp you will send a letter or card to Bill Mantlo. I can imagine how difficult it must be for his family to see him like that every weekend, when they knew him as a bright creative artist.
