Several posts indicate that there are relatively better or worse attachments. I'd agree, given my statements on the progressive nature of the practice of zazen. (AND the progressive nature of practice is interdependent, or codependently arising, with the ultimate nature of always already.) And I'd also agree that even the attachment to non- attached awareness must ultimately go in the latter, more advanced stages. The latter Chogyam Trungpa calls spiritual materialism, and for full and complete realization it's out the door too. But let's face it, how many of us are fully and completely realized? I know I ain't, despite the incessant repetitions of "you are completely and fully realized in this moment." And guess what? Most of our teachers aren't either! Yes, heresy. Now Dogen, that's another story...
