@szoozes I followed your suggestion to replace <username> with ./<username> on a few of my failing servers and, guess what, the error disappeard, not only on the changed servers, but also on most others that were not changed at all!
Very strange. Also, this is the first time that zenwinmodeler did not crash after clearing all heartbeats. However, since other people have reported this error to show up or disappear mysteriously, I am not very convinced that this is a stable workaround yet. Anyway, thanks for the tip, snoozes!!
