I don't really know. I've monitored Windows machines on different routed subnets (from 10.0.0.0 to 192.168.213.0) with no problems via WMI. That said, I'm only going to Win2k3 server on the same subnet - the machines I've tested on other subnets are WinXP.

Maybe it's a specific implementation issue?

I do however get the feel that most of the windows effort is going into the commercial version :(

We'll have to wait for the community or pay for the Enterprise version.
