Three months *is* a dangerously long time to leave a Gentoo system, whether
you like it or not, and just asking for trouble. Eighteen months is worse
than ridiculous - it's impossible to work with.

You aren't listening. You've already had several answers. Just go back and
read them - and be prepared to admit that you might be mistaken here and
there.

Several of the world's most highly qualified experts on running Gentoo
systems have offered you their advice. I submit that it would be arrogant to
ignore it or repudiate it.

I dislike that colour combination too. Two possibilities: either specify
nocolor, or select the dark text with the mouse to show it in what we used
to call reverse-video.

*Guess?* Good God, man. You don't guess - you use your experience and your
logical reasoning to deduce likely cause and effect.

If you aren't prepared to learn how to maintain it, to put it bluntly Gentoo
is not for you. You've been told that several times too.

I'm sure none of us want to drive you away, but you make it clearer each day
that you don't want to adapt to Gentoo. You may argue that the machine
should adapt itself to the human, not vice versa, but that requires you to
choose a setup that tries to do so. Gentoo is not that system. Full stop.
