It should work for that. There are still some bugs and
issues to work through but yes using Xv you should be
able to play dvd's with either. Things will improve
but it is close enough to use most of the time. There
are some tearing issues that i'm working on at the
moment and there are some scaling issues that Ian is
still working to improve. But we have played dvd's at
home with it and none of the rest of the family have
complained about anything.
