I have a 2.4GHz P4, and a PVR350.  Here's what I get:

1) Myth mpeg2 recordings (~5000kbps) decoding: ~12%
CPU.
2) Myth mpeg4 recordings (transcoded) decoding: 20-25%
CPU.

I haven't checked CPU load with DVDs, but I imagine it
will be similar to #1 above, CSS cracking
notwithstanding.
