The tveeprom module should attach here, not eeprom. Are you using the eeprom module for anything else? Can you remove the eeprom.ko file (which will be under somewhere under /lib/modules/`uname -r`/), rerun 'depmod -a', rmmod the modules, and retry? > cx25840: Unknown parameter `no_black_magic' This is another problem (although unrelated), remove the no_black_magic option in /etc/modprobe.conf. > tuner: tuner type not set This is the actual problem, the tuner doesn't know which type to set (tveeprom tells ivtv, which tells the tuner module).
