That's a very interesting discovery you've made... and this little debug
output also confirms this, when I tried it on my card:

Allthough I still have sound from input 0, I get better sound from input
1 - well, not that strange when you notice the "detected audio standard"
is NICAM on input 1.
When I had the problem before with no audio on tuner 0, it would say
"mono" as audio mode and not detect the standard. Still don't know why
it suddenly worked, with input 0.
