There's a patch circulating in the thread "[ivtv-devel] PVR-500,
capture ok but no sound..." you may want to try.

Basically, just edit ivtv-fileops.c and remove the two tda9887 == 0
blocks and see if it fixes your missing audio. I'm thinking that me
adding that code was a bad idea (I thought it wouldn't break anyone).
