Hi, I experienced similar problems while watching live tv in MythTV. Have you compiled your own kernel? If so, do you have I2C support enabled. If you do make menuconfig, the I2C section is in the Device Drivers section. You will want to experiment with compiling various drivers in that section into the kernel, or loading the modules at boot time. Make sure you don't compile in th eeeprom driver, or if you are loading it as a module, make sure it loads after tveeprom. Hope this helps.
