You can build an infrastructure using PostScript in the RIP that will switch
to different CRD's while running.
I once built a system that allowed you have use different CSA's and CRD's
depending on type of object (Fills, Text, Strokes, SmoothShades, Images and
ImageMasks) and also depending on colorspace and it chose what the user had
defined in a dialog box while interpreting (it was modeled after the options
available in JDF 1.1 and implemented nearly all options).
