I wish you to face that problem as soon as possible. In fact, you forgot one data in your equation : more people = more help. More people = more contrib => greater ecosystem => 1&1 core team can focus on new features. Community will not accept the team loose too much time with support while waiting for features. You are not alone in 1&1 team.
