Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Regular FM Radio
Possibly - it depends on the card and whether there is a suitable interface for the OS which enables the card to be tuned and a audio stream to be used by an application. There are solutions for Tuner cards using V4L interface on Linux boxes. It is also possible to use Griffin RadioShark on Linux via USB. Provide more specifics as MCE and OSX are not similar. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51080 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

I had no luck with the file from lirc.org, I think there must be an error in there somewhere. I've now got learned codes for CD, Off, Vol+ and Vol- which work all the time. Upgrading to 7.2 seemed to fix the problems I had with it not turning on all the time particularly when using the SBR. Testing always seemed to work. I found the best way to learn codes is the same way as I do with my Pronto: hold the button down until the wizard has captured the string. I use a RadioSHARK 2 usb FM/AM tuner from linux with squeezecenter. I use the tcpserver program from the ucspi-tcp package, a bash script and several support programs which allows me to tune the radioshark to any AM/FM channel and choose either an mp3 or flac stream for FM all from the the Tune-IN url or favourites. I can post the script if anyone is interested. It's based on the one from http://www.blott-online.com/soundcard.html I added the channel changing and flac support and use alsa to grab the audio from the RS. I think the windows radio you are thinking of was a DAB tuner called Wavefinder. I've looked at writing a USB app for Radio Shark for Windows but didn't do any implementation. Tuner cards such as made by Hauppauge do not publish their interfaces for Windows or OSX so it seems it is only on Linux that 3rd party apps use these cards. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51080 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

I started using SC 7.2 and recently noticed a couple problems with Moose 0.67a. 1. When using the Album Chooser drop down window to play tracks... the tracks are not sorted correctly on albums that I have added recently. The albums that I added prior to 7.2 are fine. All albums, including the ones I added recently, are sorted correctly when I view them via the library tree. 2. SqueezeSlave on the desktop is broken. It jumps randomly from track to track after it plays the first track. I suspect that something has changed with the SqueezeSlave interface in 7.2 as it was working fine with 7.1. I've installed trackstat 2.2.1 with Squeezecenter 7.1 and although some functions work via the controller of the Duet (rating does work), it does not show the Trackstat submenu in the music library. It does show the trackstat submenu in squeezecenter (and also in softsqueeze). Can somebady help to fix this? Thanks! It's not supported in the Controller interface yet. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) 'My download page' (http://erland.isaksson.info/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51104 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugins for 7.1
I am wondering whether the plugins I mostly use are available for 7.1. Specifically, Execute Script and PowerSave. I also use SongScanner, but I get the impression that changes in 7.1 mean that this is both unnecessary and incompatible. However, I did modify it to work (in 7.0) in large jumps, which is useful at times in a long program, and I don't know if this functionality is present in 7.1. -- danco danco's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=210 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51106 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: NPR Radio plugin
The Cartalk problem is as a result of CarTalk making use of a rarelyused feature redirecting URLs. The problem has two parts. 1. In AlienBBC - this can be fixed but would not stop playing of tracks. 2. A bug in MPlayer results in an additional character added to the redirected URL and so the track does not play because it is trying an invalid URL. This will require a patch to fix mplayer and a new version of mplayer to be built. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] XM Radio plugin and SqueezeCenter 7.1??

I have the classic interface set up, but cannot see XM on my Duet, just in SqueezeCenter.
