This is an intermittent problem that has been around for years, not truly consistent but I remember it from Outlook 2010 and Jaws 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 2018. Same with the read when open from that far back, if you write a long message, you have to then close Outlook to get the read message to work

Also under the Default settings, insert F6, then control shift D, there is a setting that needs to be turned on for Edge, I did this once but can't remember its exact name. I still dislike Edge and set my default to I.E. For a screen reader, regardless of the hype, Edge is horrible.

I use IE 11, it has a way to save favorites, Chrome so far as I could tell when it was the default on my other computer did not, and Firefox always has locked up on me regardless of the configuration or computer I had it on. Edge saves nothing according to sighted cousin not even with a mouse.
