Liviu, I have managed to fix this. The preferences file had downloaded as preferences.txt. But looking at my other installs, I noticed it has no extension, so I deleted the ,txt, and everything now works. Can't say I remember deleting this before, but its now working. Thanks for your help..

I am writing a review paper at the moment and need to prune out a few conference citations. To see where I've used them (so I can see which ones are really useful and which can be junked) I'd like to highlight all citations that are to Inproceedings entries. Is this possible in Lyx? Thanks, Joe

Cristina, I use jab-ref to manage my bibliographies for documents I create with LyX on Windows XP and Windows, and occasionally Kubuntu. I have personally never tried to configure the LyX pipe stuff or any of that. I do exactly as Richard suggests, InsertLists/TOCBibTeX Bibliography, then select

Sorry to all, I made a mistake I meant biography not bibliography In the end of the IEEE trans template there is an option to insert the authors photo in the Biography section If we do nothing a BOX printed with PLACE YOUR PHOTO HERE appears I want to remove that and insert a photos there
