There is a difference between wanting a new camera and needing one. If I bought a new camera only when I needed one, I'd probably still be shooting with the K10D. If we all did that, Pentax - and most every other manufacturer other than Canon & Nikon - would be out of business by now. On

I find it's a Really Bad Idea to keep these vintage computing anecdotes in mind, though. All that does is hamper you when you are deciding how to accomplish many computing tasks. If you keep on thinking that 400 megabytes is enormous, you will miss opportunities like stacking multiple images. I

Mark, good choice. I got mine with the 28-105 a week ago and am still very much in the learning curve. I was a bit worried about the size and weight of the K-1 when walking around, but so far this is acceptable. Now I'm trying my old prime lenses, but the 28-205 is also fine. Henk Op
