Hi All,

recover some of my programs that are dead (microcartridges DO go bad and so

There are two extensions that create devices called PTH (path) and DEV

Hi all,
has anyone tried yet to use Thierry's ATAPI/CD ROM extensions under QDOS?
Does it require the THING_rext extension?

The CD rom extension is a THING. If you have the PE installed, then you should
have the THING system loaded. The PE contains the Window Manager, Pointer Interface,
HotKey System II and the THING System (anyone should feel free to jump in with
both feet if I'm wrong about this :-) ).

It is all explained in Keith Mitchell's hardware docs. Every other line
in the ribbon is an earth. By twisting lines 10 through 13 you are
swapping the drive 0 with the drive one signal with the earth line as a
pivot. Quite what the PC one does is not clear.

Am I right to assume that the US QLs do not generate a proper (US spec
that is) Composite video signal?
I tried GND and where in the manual says PAL (which I assumed would be NTSC

Hello again,
here's stupid question no. 2.
Since I don't remember its specs but I do remember that most multisync
monitors cannot go low enough for the QL to output on them...
Is the QL compatible with CGA monitors (or was that only TTL and not Analog?)
If it is I just found a nice adapter from
