[midgard-user] Website weirdness

2004-07-22 Thread Sonic
Hi! While trying to download the latest aegir release I encountered a strange behaviour on the midgard website. When you enter http:// www.midgard-project.org, you get the normal site, but when you enter http:// midgard-project.org instead, you get a page with a completely different look that

Re: [midgard-user] FW: Aegir 1.0.3 out of the tube

2004-07-11 Thread Sonic
Hi! Great to see some development in aegir (I already feared it was no longer maintained), but is there a chance of including the latest version of htmlarea (3.0RC1 AFAIK) into this release? Midcom uses htmlarea 3 for a while now and it really is more comfortable, especially for Mozilla users.

[midgard-user] Aegir bug?

2004-05-05 Thread Sonic
Without commenting on the coding problems (I'm not a programmer), I'd like to underline that the documentation is indeed a vast problem. I spent countless hours figuring out missing parts, googling for howtos and old mailing list posts. I think this truns away almost all potential users,

2004-04-23 Thread Sonic
Well, 1.5.0 works fine for me with Debian stable (except that some parts of the installation instructions are a little different, e.g. the path to axps), but for systems shipping with apache 2.0 you're out of luck at the moment. Bye, Andreas Am Freitag, 23. April 2004 02:36 schrieb Thomas

2004-04-23 Thread Sonic
That's good to know. In a staging/live environment, does repligard.conf (the one used by delete_expired.pl) have to point to the staging or the live server (or doesn't it make a difference)? BTW: Is there any chance of getting these two scripts into the next version of Aegir? Shipping it with

2004-04-22 Thread Sonic
Hi! You could try to update the html editor to version 3.0 RC1. This won't help IE, but the mozilla version of the editor is greatly improved, so you could tell the mac users to install a new browser. Here's the URL:

Re: [midgard-user] Staging / Live Server Synchronisation Problem

2004-04-19 Thread Sonic
Hi! Using YAMP instead of the old scripts is relatively easy. For me, the following steps were necessary: 1: Download remove_unapproved.pl and delete_expired.pl (I stored them in /var/lib/aegir/bin) 2: Edit repligard_stanging_to_live.sh to look like this: ~ #!/bin/bash

Hi! I'm using the staging/live setup for some time now but somehow, it doesn't work as expected. I always thought stuff that wasn't approved wouldn't be copied to the live site at all, but in reality everything seems to be published as soon as I hit the Publish button in Aegir. One example:
