By the way, David, do you remember asking me once if I would be a moderator on TT? The reason I did not want to do that is that I do not believe that women should be put in the position of having to assert authority over men.  It goes against our nature. It is only when men fail to use their proper authority that women are sometimes forced into the role, abhorrent as that is.  I think the men on TT are like spiritual “big brothers” to the women here.  I think I should not have been put in the role of defending the women on this list, but at some point it had to be done, or TT is not worth my company.  When sweet little Laura started barking back at Elsman like a little mouse standing up to a monster, that was all it took for me.  J I respectfully inquire as to your opinion. Scott Peck’s book, “The People of the Lie”.  (I’m going to have to buy a new copy, as it seems I’ve loaned mine out to who knows?) It is an amazing analysis of the diagnosis of “evil”.  There is no cure for evil—not even Christian compassion and understanding.  Do you really want to pretend that there is? There is a cure for sin where it is sought, but evil people never seek after that.  Peck’s conclusion is that the only way to deal with evil is with force.  I agree.  Meanwhile, until the men in charge of this list decide to protect the women here, we must endure being vilely insulted by a mere pimple.   Izzy   -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:TruthTalk-   Another way you might look at it is as a psychologist.  Why does Daniel act this way?  Is he seeking attention?  When Daniel was here before, he was not noticed very much.  He seemed to listen more than he talked. Now that he has embraced Torah and become a man of the law, he is much more outspoken and attacks others not so much with the law, but with insults.  Is there a connection between his doctrine and his vile attitude?  These are interesting questions to explore.  As a clinician and believer in the Lord, I would hope that your compassion for Daniel as a human being would help you to be concerned about him and wonder how to help him.  Does anybody these days even take him seriously?  Does Chris or anybody else in the world think highly of him?  I really wonder about these things.  Daniel must be getting very lonely.  In many ways, I pity him.
